Due to COVID-19, the April Concert is Postponed

Dear Music Lovers,
Salon Concerts hopes everyone is staying safe during this time.  To keep the community, staff, and musicians as healthy as possible we have had to make the tough decision to cancel or postpone all major events at this time. If you are a holder of tickets for our final concert of the season, we are offering each of you the option to hold your tickets, request a refund, or donate your tickets to benefit the organization. We are hoping to reschedule the season finale concert for June, so stay tuned!

We are also launching a new initiative to keep the music flowing called Salon Selections, where Kathryn Mishell will select a movement from one of our 120 concerts over our thirty year history.  We’ll send this out bi-weekly and look forward to listening down memory lane as we all stay safe and healthy in the coming weeks.

Here’s the first Salon Selection. It is from our April 30, 2018 concert, and features the very artists who are scheduled to play on the postponed April concert this year.

April Concert

Our season finale features violinist Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio performing a group of delightful French miniatures alongside pianist and Artistic Director, Kathryn Mishell. Stephanie will then be joined by ASO principal cellist, Douglas Harvey, and UT faculty Colette Valentine for Debussy’s exquisite piano trio. Our tribute to Beethoven features his one-movement Trio no. 8. The season concludes with the Romantic blockbuster work that American composer Amy Beach composed in 1896.
